Wii Remote Precautions

1. Wear the wrist strap.
Make sure that all players using the Wii Remote are wearing the wrist strap at all times and that it has been tightened using the strap lock. Remember, when sharing the Wii Remote between multiple players, please be sure that each player puts on and tightens the wrist strap before playing. Wearing the wrist strap should help prevent the Wii Remote from flying across the room if you accidentally let go during game play.

2. Hold the Wii Remote tightly and do not let go.
Even while wearing the wrist strap, make sure you don't let go of the Wii Remote at any time. Proper use of the Wii Remote requires that you always hold onto it during game play. For example, in Wii Sports bowling, the proper way to bowl is to release the "B" button on the Wii Remote - DO NOT LET GO OF THE Wii REMOTE. If you release your grip on the Wii Remote while it is in use, it could fly out of your hand in an uncontrolled manner, which could injure you or other people, or cause damage to the Wii Remote or other property.

3. Do not use excessive motion or rapid, wide-swinging motions while moving the Wii Remote during game play.
The wrist strap may fail to work effectively or break if excessive motion is used during play.

4. Make sure you can retain a tight grip of the Wii Remote at all times.
We recommend that you stop playing and dry your hands if they become sweaty, or wet for any other reason.

Additional Information on Using the Wrist Strap

Wii gameplay with the Wii Remote and Nunchuk can involve rapid or vigorous motion. Please use the wrist strap to prevent losing your grip on the Remote and causing damage to the Remote and surrounding objects, or injury to other people.

1. If you are using the Nunchuk, feed the cord on the wrist strap through the connector hook.

Play Area Precautions

Give yourself plenty of room!

You will probably move around while using the Wii Remote, so make sure that all areas that you might move into when playing are clear. Make sure that furniture, objects and people are out of the play area so that you don't accidentally bump into them while playing. You don't want to hit the television with your Wii Remote, so we recommend that you should be at least one (1) metre (three (3) feet) away from the screen at all times.

Adequate Space Required

Be sure you have enough space around you during game play. To avoid injury or damage, make sure other people or objects are not within your range of motion.
